Eston Swimmers Smash PBs and Scoop Medals in Autumn Action

This weekend, a small but incredibly talented group of Eston Swimming Club athletes travelled to Stanley to compete in the Derwentside & Peterlee Autumn Meet — and once again, they made their mark in true Eston style!

Coming hot on the heels of the Sheffield competition just two weeks ago, this gala gave swimmers the perfect opportunity to:

• Have fun racing alongside their teammates,

• Gain valuable experience in a new competitive environment,

• Provide a chance for those who missed Sheffield to take part,

• Push for Regional Qualification times, and

• Update their Personal Bests (PBs).

And the Eston squad certainly rose to the challenge!

The results speak for themselves:

🎯 5 New Regional Qualification Times

There were outstanding performances across the board, with swimmers not only smashing their PBs from Sheffield but also setting brand-new ones at this meet.

A special congratulations goes to William and Stephen, who achieved their first-ever Regional Qualification times — a fantastic milestone in their swimming journeys.

A big thank-you also goes to Team Manager Rachel for her support and dedication on poolside throughout the weekend.

Well done to every swimmer who represented Eston SC with such enthusiasm and determination. The club now looks forward to hearing from Chester-le-Street about their upcoming gala in a fortnight — and no doubt, more success stories to come!
